Alexander technique center urbana
In 1977, Joan and Alex Murray opened Alexander Technique Center Urbana. Since that time, they have trained and graduated over 100 teachers of the Alexander Technique. The training course takes place from January to June, and August until mid-December, with breaks in March and October. It meets daily from 9:00 AM until noon and is of three years duration (1600 hours of training).
Fees: $6000 annually, payable in two amounts of $1800 and one of $2400.
Interested potential students may visit the course at any time. A reasonable number of private lessons are required before they join the course.
Private lessons with the directors are available daily by appointment from 1:30 PM.
